MY WINTER BEAUTY ROUTINE
5 R U L E S F O R H E A L T H Y S K I N
Winter is probably the worst period of the year. Not only does it dry the skin, it also harms our hair and our immune system. Bref, I hate winter. and so do you I'm sure...
Having a very sensitive and dry skin which I call "shitty skin" I have to take very good care of it, especially during this cold season, so if you have a "shitty skin" or even less shitty skin than me you can always read my routine and get good tips.
RULE 1 : CREAM TO FIGHT AGAINST THE COLD
Cream is your friend. You have to hydrate it in the morning and before going to bed (at least!!), your face isn't covered as the body throughout the day and thus faces all sort of agressions; cold, pollution, dirt, yep all of that! I have tried hundreds of them hypoallergenic creams and I always change hoping to find that one miracle product that will make me have Bella Hadid skin. I am currently trying a swedish brand called ACO and I am obcessed. I bought their day, night and bronze cream. yeah I can be this freak that buys the entire product range of a brand without even trying it. Always turns great.
RULE 2 : OIL TO REPAIR DURING THE NIGHT
Use oils! Ok maybe not during the day to avoid oily skin but before going to bed there is nothing better than a good argan or avocado oil to nourish and hydrate the skin. I do it every other night and it works miracles. My current oil is from a Canadian brand called Saje, bought it in Malibu during christmas holidays and it's the best oil I have tried yet. A mix of healthy oils in a small bottle.
RULE 3 : DRINK FOR A BETTER SKIN
Drink! Cream and oils can't fully hydrate your skin, you have to combine hydration from inside and outside. Water hydrates your entire body from within and drinking 1,5L of water a day works 10 times better than any cream in the world. If you're not a big fan of drinking water all day, you can alternate with coconut water.
RULE 4 : HEALTHY FATS FOR SKIN GLOW AND HAIR HEALTH
Food... works same as water, for healthy skin and hair it comes from the inside. A good alimentation is worth any miracle pills. I personally eat on a daily basis healthy fats such as salmon, avocado (with toasts, my life!!) and a lot of quinoa and other healthy carbonhydrates.
RULE 5 : SUPPLEMENTS FOR THAT LITTLE PUSH
A little help. Pills are a good addition to a healthy lifetsyle, they can bring you an extra push of vitamins. I have used several supplements to help my hair grow and they all suck. From Oenobiol to Hair Burst, nothing worked for me. Until now... I am currently using the brand Cystine B6, it's only been a few weeks but I feel my hair much healthier. I'll tell you more about it in a few more weeks.
